Professional Involvement is a benefit available to all categories of members: Participate through Committees; Councils; House of Delegates (chapter governing body); Chapters; Writing (contribute to CV Directions); Member Drive.
Annual Meetings – this includes our management conference; annual symposium; management institute and regional meetings.
Online Continuing Education – ACVP offers all members FREE continuing education through online programs.
Job Opportunities – ACVP maintains a computerized matching job bank – members may submit resumes at no cost; we list jobs through our website and in all publications.
Publications – With over 26 periodicals annually, no other organization in the cardiovascular arena provides as much technical and professional information. CV Directions is the ONLY peer-reviewed publication in cardiovascular healthcare. We provide a newsletter to all members and technical publications in all of our Council areas of representation. You may receive one or all technical publications depending upon whether you affiliate with one or all specialties through your membership investment.
Monographs & Study Guides – ACVP leads the way in providing members with tools for training. Self-Tests are included with many of these study guides to ensure you have retained what is important!
Educational Opportunities are available through meetings; teleconferences; registry reviews; CEU program and our transcript service. ACVP maintains a transcript for all members which is accepted by credentialing organizations as recognition of sessions attended.
Legislative & Regulatory Activities – ACVP offers members a chance to work on committees responsible for developing policy. We seek members' input on issues of importance and we provide members with an opportunity impact our advocacy positions. We will support members' in any state and before any institution or organized body to ensure our members' positions are maintained and the work we do is recognized.
Credentialing Support – ACVP works with cardiovascular and pulmonary credentialing bodies. We offer credentialing reviews, maintain study guides, and provide members with transcripts and representation.
Technical Information – whether it is through publications, visiting with exhibitors, our website, career ladders or standards and competencies, we offer members with information and access through networking to get the answers you need.
